Synopsis

After 25 years, the Castorf era at the Volksbühne is drawing to a close. During his last season, the film accompanies the work on his last monumental production and provides a direct insight into the everyday life of this unusual theater.
On, behind and beside the stage, as well as in the trades, we see the staff and ensemble of the Volksbühne in Berlin, Paris and Athens preparing and staging the various Castorf productions.
